In September 2016, Williams Mullen was one of several companies who helped launch the Unmanned Systems Association of Virginia, which seeks seek to “promote a legal and regulatory framework that supports innovation, collaboration and growth in the unmanned systems industry in the Commonwealth.” The collaborative effort was recently recognized by Financial Times North America in its annual Innovative Lawyers report.
