Tom Voekler focuses his practice on corporate finance, public and private securities offerings, and private equity and corporate governance issues, with a particular focus on real estate investment trusts (REITs), 1031 syndications (Delaware Statutory Trusts (DST)/Tenant in Common (TIC)), and private placements of real estate investments and other offerings.
Tom Voekler focuses his practice on corporate finance, public and private securities offerings, and private equity and corporate governance issues, with a particular focus on real estate investment trusts (REITs), 1031 syndications (Delaware Statutory Trusts (DST)/Tenant in Common (TIC)), and private placements of real estate investments and other offerings.
Tom has a wealth of experience representing leading regional, national and international investment banking firms in initial and follow-on public offerings and private placements for REITs. He has counseled numerous sponsors on REIT, DST, TIC, Regulation A, and private equity syndications. In addition, he advises companies in going-private transactions, and public and private companies, and nonprofits with respect to corporate governance as well as securities law reporting compliance and other general corporate matters.
Tom is actively involved in IPA and the Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA). He is also a long-time member of the board of ADISA having served in many different roles, from president, chair of the Conference Planning Committee, and as a frequent speaker and panel moderator.
Tom earned his Juris Doctor degree from the College of William & Mary School of Law and his Bachelor of Science degree from George Mason University.
