Rebecca Ivey represents hospitals and other health care providers in numerous health care matters, including compliance with state and federal health care laws such as the Stark law, the Anti-Kickback statute, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). She frequently counsels clients on issues relating to Medicare, Medicaid, health information technology, physician contracts, mergers and acquisitions, joint venture opportunities, and licensure. She also advises clients on telemedicine regulations and DEA regulations.

Rebecca has significant experience with employment issues faced by health care providers. She has advised health care providers on a variety of employment issues and has experience with employment litigation, including cases involving:

- Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA)
- Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

- Wrongful terminations
Rebecca also has substantial experience defending insurers in ERISA litigation.
Rebecca is on the board of directors of Health Brigade, which offers a variety of health services to low-income and uninsured persons. She serves on the steering committee of Williams Mullen’s Women’s Initiative.
Rebecca earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia, where she served on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review. She also earned her Master of Arts Degree and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
