Micah Schwartz is a commercial litigator. He focuses on employment, workplace safety, and education cases. He represents clients in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels and counsels clients on sensitive matters to keep them from maturing into litigation.

Micah Schwartz is a commercial litigator. He focuses on employment, workplace safety, and education cases. He represents clients in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels and counsels clients on sensitive matters to keep them from maturing into litigation.
Micah has defended clients against claims under Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and Title IX of the Education Amendments Act. He also defends clients against wrongful-death and breach-of-contract claims.
Micah represents clients under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the U.S. Department of Education and state Attorneys General. He also conducts internal investigations.
He represents clients in non-competition and trade secret disputes and frequently defends clients against whistleblower claims.
Prior to joining Williams Mullen, Micah worked at international law firms in Washington, D.C. and Richmond, Virginia, and served as a law clerk to Judge David G. Trager of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Micah co-teaches a course on Higher Education Law at the Washington and Lee University School of Law.
Micah earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Virginia, where he served as student body president.
